ADVENTURE R — THE RALLY-BRED CLASS

The R suffix is what the factories put on their most off-road-capable adventure machines — longer suspension travel, spoked wheels, rally ergonomics and electronics tuned for dirt rather than for the café run. This tag collects the Adventure-R-class motorcycles that appear in our fleet and the tours where they make sense: rides with real off-road sections where the standard version of the same bike would be working too hard. If your dream tour includes gravel passes, desert pistes or jungle tracks, an R-class machine is usually the right tool — taller, tougher and more forgiving when the surface turns loose. Riders with limited off-road experience can still enjoy these bikes on our mixed-terrain tours: the guides brief every section beforehand, and the support truck carries the luggage so the bike stays light and honest underneath you.
