DAY 1 – ARRIVAL TO BERLIN
Touch down in Germany’s vibrant capital and check into your hotel. Although there’s no riding today, lace up your walking shoes for a first taste of Berlin. Stroll through the Brandenburg Gate, wander Unter den Linden boulevard, and admire the street art along the East Side Gallery. In the evening, reunite with the group for a welcome dinner by the Spree River and raise a glass to the journey ahead.

DAY 2 – BERLIN TO COPENHAGEN VIA ROSTOCK FERRY
Leave the highways behind and head northeast on quiet country roads. You’ll weave through charming villages, rolling fields, and dense forests en route to Warnemünde. Here, board the ferry to Denmark and feel the Baltic breeze as you cross. Disembark in Gedser and continue on backroads to Copenhagen. Park your bikes, then explore Nyhavn’s colorful quay and savor Danish street food by the canal.

DAY 3 – COPENHAGEN TO JÖNKÖPING VIA HELSINGBORG FERRY
After breakfast, head to the ferry terminal for a scenic crossing to Helsingborg, Sweden. From there, cruise up the Öresund coastline, weaving through coastal roadways with views out over the Sound. As you turn inland, the landscape shifts to lush forests and shimmering lakes until you reach Jönköping on Lake Vättern’s southern shore. Unwind lakeside, recounting ferry tales under a pastel Scandinavian sunset.

DAY 4 – JÖNKÖPING TO STOCKHOLM
Fuel up and set your sights on Sweden’s capital. You’ll thread through peaceful countryside, passing farmers’ fields and sleepy villages. Pull in to Stockholm’s islands by mid-afternoon and park near Gamla Stan. Spend free time exploring cobblestone streets, the Royal Palace, and winding waterways—every corner offers a postcard moment. Tonight, enjoy traditional Swedish fare in one of the city’s cozy taverns.

DAY 5 – REST DAY, BUT TAKING A NIGHT FERRY FROM STOCKHOLM TO TURKU
Recharge in Stockholm: sleep in, stroll designer boutiques, or visit the Vasa Museum. In the evening, roll your gear onto the overnight ferry to Turku. As the ship departs, sip a drink on deck and watch Stockholm’s lights fade into the Baltic night, lulled to sleep by gentle waves.

DAY 6 – TURKU TO HELSINKI
Disembark in Turku and take a quick spin through Finland’s oldest city—visit the medieval castle and waterfront before pointing your handlebars east. The coastal route to Helsinki offers forested stretches punctuated by small archipelago islands. Arrive in Finland’s capital by late afternoon, then explore the modern Design District or the granite-hewn Temppeliaukio Church.

DAY 7 – HELSINKI FERRY TO TALLINN
After a leisurely breakfast in Helsinki’s Market Square, load up for the short ferry hop to Tallinn. Disembark and wander the UNESCO-listed Old Town with its turreted walls and Gothic spires. Relax in a medieval tavern or climb Toompea Hill for sweeping views before regrouping for dinner in the atmospheric Town Hall Square.

DAY 8 – TALLINN TO RIGA
Leave Estonia’s capital and head south on open roads, passing quaint villages and dense pine forests. Cross into Latvia and roll into Riga by early evening. Tonight, treat yourself to local Latvian cuisine—rye bread, smoked fish, and craft brews—then explore the Art Nouveau façades that give this city its unique charm.

DAY 9 – RIGA TO VILNIUS
Today’s ride weaves through the Baltic countryside—expect gentle hills, farmland, and winding roadways. Cross into Lithuania and arrive in Vilnius, where baroque architecture meets bohemian cafés. Park near the Cathedral Square, then stroll narrow lanes of the Old Town, stopping at rooftop bars for panoramic views.

DAY 10 – VILNIUS TO WARSAW
Set out early for the longest haul of the trip: southbound toward Poland’s capital. The route traverses forests and rolling plains, so plan rest stops in small towns to stretch legs. Pull in to Warsaw by mid-to-late afternoon. If time allows, ride past the Royal Castle and through Łazienki Park before dinner in the revitalized Old Town.

DAY 11 – WARSAW TO KRAKÓW
Today you’ll trace the Vistula River southward toward Kraków. The journey crosses a mix of agricultural land and gentle hills. Arrive in Kraków mid-afternoon and visit the historic Market Square—Europe’s largest—plus the imposing Wawel Castle perched on its riverbank. Savor Polish pierogi in a traditional cellar restaurant tonight.

DAY 12 – REST DAY KRAKÓW
Enjoy a well-earned rest in Kraków. Take a guided walking tour of the Old Town, browse artisanal shops, or sample local cafés. For the contemplative rider, optional visits to nearby Wieliczka Salt Mine or the moving Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial can be arranged. Reconnect with the group over an apéritif in one of Kraków’s vibrant plazas.

ITINERARY DAY 13
Complete the journey with a final ride back to Kraków, celebrating the end of this incredible adventure with a farewell dinner.

THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO THE BALTIC LOOP BY MOTORCYCLE
Everything below comes from the tour itself: our 15-day loop around the Baltic Sea, the day-by-day itinerary further up this page, and the practical details of bikes, ferries, group size and payment. If you are weighing up northern Europe as your next motorcycle destination, this is the long answer — how the route is built, which capitals and crossings it strings together, and exactly what the price covers.
WHY RIDE THE BALTIC LOOP
The Baltic Loop is our answer to a very specific bucket-list problem: how do you experience nine countries on one motorcycle trip without spending a month on the road? Over 15 days we visit Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania — all of them bordering the Baltic Sea, all of them connected in one continuous, borderless road trip. No paperwork queues at frontiers, no carnet headaches: this is a genuinely borderless European adventure, which is why it sits on our highlights list right alongside the Stockholm Archipelago and medieval Tallinn.
The route covers approximately 3,800 km of varied paved terrain, from highways to scenic backroads, and it is designed as a true loop. We start in Berlin, ride north through Denmark and up the length of southern Sweden, cross the Baltic to Finland, drop down through the three Baltic States, sweep through Poland and the Czech Republic, and roll back into Berlin on day 14 for a farewell ride through the city center and a final group dinner in a classic beer hall. Because the Baltic Sea is not a closed body of water — it connects to the North Sea and the Gulf of Bothnia — the loop only closes with the help of ferries and bridges, and those crossings become highlights in their own right rather than logistics to endure.
What makes this tour different from a mountain-pass tour is density of culture per riding day. In just over two weeks you park the bike beside Berlin's Brandenburg Gate, Copenhagen's Nyhavn district, Stockholm's Gamla Stan, Helsinki's Design District, Tallinn's UNESCO-listed Old Town, Riga's Art Nouveau façades, Vilnius Old Town, Warsaw's Royal Castle and Kraków's historic Market Square — Europe's largest. Nine capitals-and-crown-jewels in fifteen days is a pace no other format of travel really allows; on a motorcycle, with the ferries doing the heavy lifting across the water, it flows.
HOW HARD IS THE RIDING? 5% OFF-ROAD, 85% COMFORT, 100% FUN
We publish a terrain profile for every tour so you can match the route to your skills before you book. The Baltic Loop rates 5% off-road, 85% comfort and 100% fun — in plain words, this is a road tour. The 3,800 km run almost entirely on pavement, mixing quiet country roads, coastal roadways and the occasional efficient highway stretch, and the riding rhythm is deliberately humane: two full rest days (Stockholm on day 5, Kraków on day 12) break the trip into three digestible chapters.
The character of the roads changes with the countries. Day 2 leaves the highways behind for quiet country roads through charming villages, rolling fields and dense forests on the way to the Warnemünde ferry. Day 3 cruises up the Öresund coastline out of Helsingborg before turning inland to the lush forests and shimmering lakes that lead to Jönköping on Lake Vättern's southern shore. In Finland, the coastal route from Turku to Helsinki runs through forested stretches punctuated by small archipelago islands. The Baltic States deliver open roads, gentle hills, farmland and pine forest between Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. Day 10, Vilnius to Warsaw, is the longest haul of the trip, across forests and rolling plains. And day 13, from Kraków into the Czech Republic through southern Poland and Moravian vineyards, is the twistiest, most picturesque leg — the page itinerary calls it perfect for a challenging ride — before the Saxony highway carries you back to Berlin.
Support matches the comfort rating. A professional multilingual tour leader rides with the group, a local guide and support vehicle travel alongside the whole way, and fuel, ferries, bridges and road tolls are all covered in the price. Thirteen nights of accommodation in shared rooms (single-room upgrade available), all breakfasts, and group dinners in places like a Kraków cellar restaurant or a Berlin beer hall round out the package. That is the 85% comfort score doing its job — adventure here never means roughing it.
COUNTRIES & STOPS ALONG THE BALTIC MOTORCYCLE ROUTE
The Baltic Loop rewards riders who get off the bike, and the itinerary builds that in. These are the cultural anchors of the tour, day by day:
- Berlin, Germany (days 1, 14 and 15). The loop opens and closes in Germany's vibrant capital: the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden, street art along the East Side Gallery, a welcome dinner by the Spree — and, on the last morning, a final coffee in Prenzlauer Berg or souvenirs at Mauerpark before the airport.
- Copenhagen, Denmark (day 2). Off the ferry at Gedser and onto backroads to the Danish capital, then Nyhavn's colorful quay and Danish street food by the canal.
- Jönköping and Stockholm, Sweden (days 3–5). A lakeside night on Lake Vättern, then Sweden's capital spread across 14 islands: Gamla Stan's cobblestone streets, the Royal Palace, the Vasa Museum and the waterways of the Stockholm Archipelago, with a full rest day to soak it in.
- Turku and Helsinki, Finland (days 6–7). A spin through Finland's oldest city — medieval castle and waterfront — then the coastal ride to Helsinki for the modern Design District and the granite-hewn Temppeliaukio Church.
- Tallinn, Estonia (day 7). A short ferry hop across from Helsinki lands you in the UNESCO-listed Old Town: turreted walls, Gothic spires, medieval taverns and the views from Toompea Hill.
- Riga, Latvia (day 8). Art Nouveau façades that give the city its unique charm, plus local Latvian cuisine — rye bread, smoked fish and craft brews.
- Vilnius, Lithuania (day 9). Baroque architecture meets bohemian cafés; park near Cathedral Square and finish the day at a rooftop bar over the Old Town.
- Warsaw and Kraków, Poland (days 10–12). The Royal Castle and Łazienki Park in the capital, then south along the Vistula to Kraków's Market Square and Wawel Castle, with a rest day for a guided Old Town walking tour — and optional visits to the nearby Wieliczka Salt Mine or the moving Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial can be arranged.
- Prague, Czech Republic (day 13). Charles Bridge at dusk and the Astronomical Clock in Old Town Square, reached on twisty roads through Moravian vineyards.
Group activities and entry fees for these stops are included in the tour price, so there is no ticket-counter arithmetic along the way — when the group heads into a museum or old town, everyone goes in together.
FERRIES, BRIDGES & REST DAYS
Scenic coastal ferry crossings are a headline feature of this tour, not a footnote. The loop uses four of them: the Rostock-area crossing from Warnemünde to Gedser that carries you from Germany into Denmark on day 2; the short, scenic Helsingborg crossing into Sweden on day 3; the overnight ferry from Stockholm to Turku on day 5, where you roll your gear aboard, watch Stockholm's lights fade into the Baltic night from the deck, and wake up in Finland; and the quick Helsinki-to-Tallinn hop on day 7 that delivers you from Nordic design straight into a medieval Hanseatic old town. Bridges connect the rest, and all ferry, bridge and toll costs are included.
The overnight Stockholm–Turku ferry doubles as one of the tour's two rest days, which means you cross an international border while officially "resting". The second rest day, in Kraków on day 12, comes after the three-country Baltic States run and before the final Poland–Czech Republic–Germany push — placed exactly where legs and attention spans need it.
WHO THIS TOUR SUITS
Judged purely on the facts of the route, the Baltic Loop is built for confident street riders rather than dirt specialists. The terrain profile is 5% off-road and 85% comfort, the 3,800 km are varied paved terrain, and our own FAQ draws the line clearly: road-focused rides are within reach of anyone who rides confidently at home, while tours like Namibia are the ones we build specifically for experienced dirt and enduro riders. If tight-schedule country-counting, capital cities and ferry decks appeal to you more than sand and single-track, this is your tour.
The formal bar to entry is the same as for all our tours: you must be 20 or older with at least one year of experience on a 500cc-or-bigger motorcycle, hold a valid driver's license with motorcycle endorsement, carry a passport with at least six months' validity at tour start, and have a credit card with sufficient funds for the refundable security deposit, sized according to the rental bike you choose. Pillion passengers are welcome via the add-on option, and the shared-room default with single-room upgrade means solo riders and couples both slot in easily. With a group of minimum 6 and maximum 12 riders plus a certified multilingual tour leader, the tour stays small enough that the farewell dinner in Berlin genuinely is a table of friends.
WHICH BIKES, WHAT GROUP SIZE & HOW DO YOU BOOK?
The motorcycles. The base bike is the CFMoto 450MT, included in the tour price. Two upgrades are available from the fleet on this tour: the CFMoto 800MT-X for +$899 and the CFMoto 1000MT-X for +$1,299. All bikes are latest-model, professionally maintained machines. The mandatory motorcycle damage and theft liability reduction insurance is not part of the base price — it is available as a +$375 add-on listed next to the price above.
The group. Group size runs from a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 12 riders, led by a professional multilingual tour leader with a local guide and support vehicle alongside. Riding two-up? The Add Pillion/Passenger option (+$3,999) covers your co-rider. Accommodation is in shared rooms by default, with a single-room upgrade available for +$1,499.
What the price covers. The tour starts at $8,499 per rider on the CFMoto 450MT in a shared room. Airfare, upgrades, lunches, dinners and drinks, the motorcycle insurance above, personal paperwork and visas, tips, and travel and cancellation insurance are not included — for travel cover with cancellation protection we point riders to Global Rescue.
Booking and payment. Hit Book Now, pick your date and pay the deposit; we accept bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Bitcoin, and you can split the balance into monthly payments with no interest. Booking as a group is rewarded: when 5 riders pay, rider number 6 travels free. Every booking is backed by our price match and departure guarantees. The next scheduled departures are May 21 to June 4, 2027 (Berlin to Berlin, 2 spots left) and August 4 to 18, 2028 (Copenhagen to Copenhagen), and private dates are available for groups of 6 or more riders.
Seventeen-plus years of operating tours and more than 4,000 riders have shaped how we run the Baltic Loop — the same certified tour leaders, safety-first route planning and hand-picked hotels as every tour in our catalog, applied to nine countries, four ferries and one unbroken loop around the Baltic Sea.
