ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE 14-DAY MEXICO MOTORCYCLE TOUR

The 14-DAY MEXICO MOTORCYCLE TOUR is a private group adventure through one of the most rewarding riding countries in the Americas. Mexico packs high mountain ranges, volcanic landscapes, deep canyons, deserts and coastline into a single country, and ties them together with roads that could have been designed for motorcycles: long climbs, endless curves and quiet stretches where the next bend is the only thing on your mind.

Between the rides, Mexico is a feast for the senses: colonial towns with cobbled streets and painted faรงades, a pre-Hispanic heritage that is still part of everyday life, lively markets and a cuisine so important that UNESCO lists it as part of the worldโ€™s intangible cultural heritage. This tour is built for riders who want both: great roads by day and a real taste of the country every evening.

You ride a BMW GS, the F 750/800 GS or the R 1300 GS, and choose between a shared and a single room. The detailed day-by-day itinerary, route map and photos will be published on this page very soon.

THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO MOTORCYCLE TOURING IN MEXICO

WHY RIDE MEXICO BY MOTORCYCLE?

+โ€“

Mexico is one of the great riding countries of the Americas, and one of the most underrated. Two long mountain ranges, the Sierra Madre Occidental and the Sierra Madre Oriental, frame a high central plateau crowned by volcanoes, and between them lie deep canyons, forests, deserts and two long coastlines. For a motorcyclist that means variety every single day: long climbs, sweeping valleys and the kind of mountain road where one bend simply leads into the next.

The country is just as rich off the bike. Mexico has more UNESCO World Heritage Sites than any other country in the Americas, from colonial city centres with cobbled streets and painted faรงades to the ruins of the great pre-Hispanic civilisations. Traditional Mexican cuisine is itself listed by UNESCO as part of the worldโ€™s intangible cultural heritage, and you will understand why at the first roadside stop.

WHAT IS THE RIDING LIKE?

+โ€“

This is a road tour at heart, built around paved mountain roads, quiet secondary highways and the open spaces in between. Expect plenty of curves and changes of altitude: much of central Mexico sits on a plateau well above 1,500 metres, so mornings can be fresh even when the afternoons are warm. February falls in the dry season across most of central and southern Mexico, which makes it one of the best months of the year to ride there.

Riding in Mexico has its own rhythm. Speed bumps, known locally as topes, appear at the entrance to almost every village, and traffic in the larger towns calls for patience. You ride as a group with an experienced tour leader who briefs you every morning, so you can keep your attention on the road and the scenery.

Exact distances, overnight stops and the route map will be published with the detailed itinerary.

HOW DOES A PRIVATE GROUP TOUR WORK?

+โ€“

This tour is a private group departure: it is organised for one group of riders who travel together, and the February 2027 departure is already sold out. If you would like to ride Mexico with your own friends, family or riding club, we can plan a private departure for groups of 6 or more riders. Find out how private group tours work or book a call with us to talk about dates.

WHICH MOTORCYCLES AND ROOMS ARE AVAILABLE?

+โ€“

The motorcycles. You ride a BMW F 750/800 GS or a BMW R 1300 GS. The F-series GS is a light, easy-handling middleweight that feels at home on twisty mountain roads; the R 1300 GS is BMWโ€™s flagship boxer, for riders who want more power and long-distance comfort.

Rooms and price. Accommodation is available in a shared or a single room. The base price is $7,999 USD per rider; ask us for the price of the motorcycle and room you prefer.
